The palliAGED site and the palliAGED app have been developed as part of the Specialist Palliative Care and Advance Care Planning (Decision Assist Project). Decision Assist is a program funded by the Australian Government to enhance the provision of palliative care and advance care planning services in residential and community aged care. It is being delivered by a consortium including Austin Health, Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA), the Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine, CareSearch (Flinders University), Leading Age Services Australia (LASA), Palliative Care Australia, Qld University of Technology, and the University of Qld.
The palliAGED site and the app are designed to support GPs caring for older palliative patients living at home or in residential care. Editorial control is exercised by the Guidance and Technological Innovation (GATI) Advisory Group and the Decision Assist Expert Program Group. The GATI Project Team is part of the Discipline of Palliative and Supportive Services within Flinders University.
